The comedy-drama series, Only Murders In The Building, has had two perfect seasons. The series follows following the crazy adventures of Charles-Haden Savage played by Steve Martin, Oliver Putnam played by Martin Short and the fan favourite i.e. Mabel Mora, played by Selena Gomez. But what’s always been the cherry on top is the string of guest characters in the series. To name a few, Paul Rudd, Amy Schumer, Cara Delevingne, and Sting have made appearances and have been much loved by fans of the series, which streams on Disney+ Hotstar in India. And now, OMITB has made a major casting announcement. None other than the iconic Meryl Streep will be seen in the next season of Only Murders In The Building!

This fabulous news was announced by Selena Gomez on her Instagram. Gomez, who is also a producer on the show, was excited to declare that the next season of the series is happening. This adorable video showed the main three actors on set and then, they turned the camera towards Paul Rudd who is going to appear as the main character, this season. But that’s not all, suddenly, we see Meryl Streep popping in from behind the couch and Selena does a silent scream, facing the camera. We’re right there with her about this news!

The picture in itself is very cute because it shows us just how excited the cast is to be working on the season together. It sure looks like Only Murders In The Building has turned into Only Legends In The Building, amirite? Only Murders In The Building Season 3 is all set to bring back Charles, Mabel, and Oliver to the Arconia, once again. But, another clear part is that this season is going to be about the untimely death of Ben Glenroy which was showcased during the season finale of the second season. So, there are going to be many questions, twists and confusions about Ben Glenroy who is all set to be played by Paul Rudd, in season 3.

On top of this, Jesse Williams will also be seen in this exciting third season. She will be seen playing the role of a documentarian who has a massive interest in the Arconia trio and the case that they are working on. Isn’t that suspicious? This already has me guessing which way things might head with these characters. But, another absolutely clear part is the fact that this season is going to be huge for Oliver Putnam as it is going to be set on Broadway, following the sad death of Ben on the Broadway stage. As for the release date, there’s no such information at this point but we certainly hope that the season makes its way to our screens in 2023 itself.
