Manisha Koirala On Madhuri Dixit
In an interview with India Today, while reflecting on her decision, Manisha expressed regret for declining the opportunity to work with Yash Chopra on a project that also starred the iconic Madhuri Dixit. She admitted feeling intimidated by the prospect of being compared to Madhuri, which led her to back out of the project. Looking back, Manisha acknowledged that her insecurity was unfounded, recognizing Madhuri’s talent and kindness. She emphasized that working alongside strong actors like Madhuri only enhances one’s performance, as they inspire and motivate each other to excel.
Despite her initial hesitation, Manisha eventually had the pleasure of collaborating with Madhuri in Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Lajja. Reflecting on their experience working together, Manisha expressed admiration for Madhuri’s professionalism and warmth on set, as well as her own gratitude for the opportunity to learn and grow as an actor.
