Priyamani On Working With Shah Rukh Khan Again
The actress, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Maidaan, opened up about her desire to collaborate with SRK once more. Speaking to IndiaToday.in, Priyamani stated that she is ready and if SRK calls her tomorrow and says and says to come and work with hi, she will go. She further added how she is super ready for the opportunity and “I am going to give up everything and go if I get the opportunity to work opposite Mr. Khan”. Pointing towards the media she hinted that they have the power to do so and asked to manifest it.

Addressing the comparison between Maidaan and Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic sports drama Chak De India, Priyamani highlighted the differences between the two films. She pointed out that while Chak De India revolved around hockey, Maidaan focuses on football. Additionally, she emphasized the gender dynamics, noting the contrast between the all-female team in Chak De India and the predominantly male cast in Maidaan.

Directed by Amit Sharma, Maidaan is based on the life of Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who played a pivotal role in shaping the sport in the country. Set in the period between 1952 and 1962, the sports drama stars Ajay Devgn in the lead role, alongside Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh in key roles. In an update from Bollywood Hungama, it was reported that Maidaan recently received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) without any cuts. The board requested only a disclaimer to be added, clarifying that the film is a work of fiction inspired by true events, with certain dialogues dramatized for effect and not intended to incite lawlessness.
