Mahima Chaudhry Reveals She Wasn’t “Brave” When She Found Out About Her Breast Cancer Diagnosis
Remember yesteryear actress Mahima Chaudhry? Known for her roles in films like Pardes, Dil Hai Tumhaara and Lajja, Mahima Chaudhry was one of the most known faces back in the day but the actress has been MIA from the entertainment industry for a while now and we just found out the reason behind it. Recently, actor Anupam Kher shared a video of actress Mahima Chaudhry as she revealed her story of battling breast cancer, revealing the news to him and doing a film with him.
Taking to Instagram, Anupam Kher shared a video of himself with actor Mahima Chaudhry on Instagram. In the video, the actress can be heard revealing how Anupam Kher had called her up and asked her to do his film while she was undergoing treatment at the hospital. She shares that she has been receiving calls for several web series and films but has been refusing them due to her hair. Getting emotional, the actress revealed that she could not bring herself to hide her diagnosis from Anupam Kher and shared it with him and asked him if she could come to set wearing a wig. She further added that the actor encouraged her to be herself and be brave and accepting of herself.
Speaking about her cancer diagnosis, Mahima shared that she had no symptoms and it was diagnosed during her annual routine checkup. She went on to share that she was not very brave about her breast cancer diagnosis and would cry a lot even though there was nothing to worry about. She revealed that even her parents are unaware of her cancer treatment while adding that she is now cancer-free. Mahima Chaudhry also shared that during chemotherapy she wasn’t very brave and would feel sad but she took inspiration from other cancer patients while recalling a conversation with a little boy who was dealing with cancer and being extremely brave about it.
