Ever since Lock Upp S2 premiered, Ram Kapoor’s name has taken over social media for all the controversial reasons. This time it was for the same reason after Shreya Kalra highlighted how he non-consensually kissed her cheek after she saved him from elimination. What Unfolded Exactly?
In the latest episode of Lock Upp S2, Shreya Kalra was reportedly seen having a conversation with Shilpa Shinde where she spoke about how Ram Kapoor came too close to Shivangi Joshi’s face during a task. She revealed that Harshad Chopra asked him to step back. However, after the Bade Acche Lagte Hai star stepped back, Harshad apologised to him. Shreya then questioned his apology, saying that Ram comes and spits when he speaks, adding that he literally spat all over the place. She further talked about how he non-consensually kissed her on the cheek after she saved him from elimination. The contestant asked to maintain boundaries, adding that if he tried to kiss her, then she was going to hold his mouth and say that even her father doesn’t kiss her like that. She also said that she won three tasks for him and he should be “ashamed” of his seniority, adding that she spit on these seniors!
This Is Very Problematic!
A grown person doing such a thing is problematic, to say the least! Women are expected to brush such incidents under the rug or just laugh it off, but people don’t understand how deeply it impacts them. A kiss, no matter how casual it may seem to one person, crosses a line when it happens without consent. Personal boundaries do not disappear in the air because someone is on a reality show or working in the public eye. We hope that this issue is raised on Lock Upp S2 in the upcoming episode because respecting boundaries is the bare minimum a person can do!
