The actor revealed being molested when he was 13 while he was at a boarding school. Ram Kapoor Looks Back At Traumatic Incident
Ram Kapoor recently looked back at a traumatic incident on Lock Upp S2. The actor revealed that he was molested while he was at a boarding school. He shared that he was in 8th standard and about 13 years old. He stated that at the time, at the end of the day, they used to hang out in their dorms on each other’s beds. Recalling the time when a 10th standard student sat on his bed, Ram shared that they were having fun and bantering. During the same, the actor shared that the said student “touched” him under the blanket, and there were almost 30-40 students around, so he “froze.” He recalled not being able to do anything, adding that the student continued doing that and he didn’t know how to react. The actor further stated that after some time, he told the student that he didn’t like that, after which he stopped and immediately went away. The Bade Achhe Lagte Hai star revealed that the incident changed him and after that he became silent and traumatized. Furthermore, the actor revealed that the boy later apologized whenever he got a chance. He also stated that it was weird but the person who caused trauma helped him come out of it, and they became good friends. Ram stated that only his wife, Gautami Kapoor, knew about it. He stated that he was happy that this incident happened, adding that he has no fear of the LGBTQ community at all because of him. Ram expressed that the boy didn’t commit a mistake, as he was curious and was feeling hormonal. He stated that at the time they were teenagers.
How Did Genelia Deshmukh React?
Genelia Deshmukh took to her Instagram story and tagged Ram Kapoor, revealing that he had made her cry and made her see such a beautiful perspective to the world they live in. She praised Lock Upp S2 for making the difference.
On the other hand, Ram Kapoor’s wife, Gautami, reacted by saying that he own his truth and that she was proud of him.
