Lock Upp S2: Ram Kapoor Thinks Cheating Is Not Deal Breaker, Akanksha Chamola Disagrees. Excuse Me, What?

Ever since Lock Upp season 2 premiered Ram Kapoor has garnered back-to-back headlines for different reasons. This time, the actor’s name came under fire after he defended cheating, saying that if one loves their partner, nothing can be a deal-breaker. This statement did not sit well with the netizens. It wasn’t just the fans; some contestants also disagreed with this view on infidelity!

Ram Kapoor Defends Cheating On Lock Upp S2

Ram Kapoor defended cheating when fellow Lock Upp season 2 contestant Shreya Kalra asked the actor when he would find another partner if he discovered that his partner had cheated on him. The Bade Achhe Lagte Hain star stated “no” and added that one needs to find the connection again. He proceeded to say that if one really loved their partner, nothing would be a deal breaker. He acknowledged that marriage is hard and is a journey and one has to work at it every day. Ram also stated that sometimes during 20-25 years of marriage, what happens is one has highs and lows, good periods and bad periods. He added that if during a bad phase one ends up making a mistake and you realise that you cannot live without them or the children, time heals everything and nothing is a dealbreaker, adding that sometimes it happens by “mistake.” However, contestant Akanksha Chamola strongly disagreed and stated physical intimacy can never happen by mistake, as it involves a conscious decision and is always a choice rather than an accident. Many netizens disagreed with Ram Kapoor’s views by bluntly commenting that cheating is clearly a choice. Many social media users also shared that they agreed with Akanksha Chamola’s views on the same matter!

Here’s What We Think!

We think that cheating is never okay and shouldn’t be normalized. What’s worse is that celebrities come on reality shows and defend infidelity like it is not a big deal. One thing is certain: relationships are built on trust, and once that foundation is broken, the relationship is going to change forever. It can severely affect the other person, and handling your mental state amid that betrayal isn’t an easy thing!
