Lock Upp 2: Gautami’s Take On Ram Kapoor Kissing Shreya Kalra Without Consent Has Us Creeped Out!

Ram Kapoor’s actions have become a hot topic after Lock Upp season 2. He first faced heavy backlash for forcefully kissing a male contestant. Later, Shreya Kalra shared how uneasy she felt because of his kisses and touches. Things grew even stranger when his wife, Gautami, entered the show and offered an apology that left many people on the internet feeling weird. Her words and approach raised many eyebrows and sparked debates online. Read on!

Gautami Defends Ram Kapoor By Calling Him A ‘Teddy Bear’ After He Made Shreya Kalra Uncomfortable

In the recent episode, Gautami walked in and folded her hands to apologise to Shreya. She asked for forgiveness if Ram had done anything wrong, touched her wrongly, or spat while speaking. She added that she was saying sorry on his behalf to all women who felt uneasy around him. At the same time, she described Ram as a teddy bear who behaves that way naturally. Many viewers found this apology tone-deaf. Even though she claimed she was not defending him, calling him a harmless teddy bear seemed to downplay the issue and suggest he could not control himself.

Earlier in the show, Shreya had spoken openly about her discomfort. She told another contestant how Ram came too close to Shivangi Joshi’s face during a task. Another male participant had to ask Ram to step back. Yet after he moved away, the same person apologised to Ram. Shreya questioned that apology and pointed out that Ram spits while talking, making things messy around him.

She also described how he kissed her on the cheek without her permission after she saved him from elimination. Shreya made it clear that she wanted people to respect personal boundaries. She said even her own father does not kiss her in such a way and that she had won tasks for him but still expected better behaviour from a senior person.
