The recent episode of Lock Upp S2 turned emotionally heavy after contestant Shivangi Joshi opened up about a traumatic incident from her childhood. The actress revealed being molested by a close family friend, whom she called ‘mamaji‘ (uncle). She recalled how he took advantage of the fact that she was shifting to Mumbai to become an actor. Shivangi Joshi Recalls Traumatic Incident From Childhood!

In the new episode of Lock Upp S2, Shivangi Joshi revealed that a close family member molested her. Recalling the incident, she stated that her mother, who used to trust him, considered him a brother and that they used to call him uncle, adding that he was a reputed man. She recalled that when the talks about her shifting to Mumbai to pursue acting started, he reportedly took advantage of that. She recalled that he used to tell her that since she is going to Mumbai, she needs to know how to drive a car. Shivangi recalled him asking her to sit on his lap, hold the steering and move it. The actress shared that at the time, she didn’t understand his intentions and what was happening. The reality show star revealed that she used to do it, but she didn’t like it. The actress later told him that she didn’t want to learn it.

Shivangi Joshi Recalls Her Dad Beating That Man

Further in the Lock Upp S2 episode, Shivangi Joshi revealed that one day her parents had gone somewhere, after which he came home at night and started telling me that if she is going to Mumbai, she would have to do different kinds of scenes. The actress stated that suddenly, he started holding her and told her that she needed to be prepared for all kinds of scenes. Shivangi stated that the man kissed her on her forehead and then her cheeks. She revealed that when he tried to kiss her on the lips, she pushed him and mistakenly hit him. That angered him, and he threw her on the floor. The actress expressed not knowing what would have happened that day, but thankfully, her parents arrived. Her father heard her screaming and saw what was happening. She recalled him beating that man and throwing him out of the house. This left her not being able to step out of the house for many days.
