Lalit Modi’s announcement about dating actress Sushmita Sen was quite surprising for everyone. On July 14, the former IPL chairman took to his Instagram account to post some new and old pictures with Sushmita Sen and also announced that they are both dating. Since then the internet has gone crazy and is digging up everything. Like Lalit Modi’s 2013 tweet went viral on social media, and a trend was also started on it. There were a lot of trolls shaming the two for their relationship. However, now the trolls have taken an extreme turn, which has forced them to step up and give it back to the unnecessary speculation. And both sides have handled the trolls in their own ways.

Mr. Lalit Modi again took to his social media account to put forth many clarifications over speculations that started post his relationship announcement. On July 17. Sunday, Lalit Modi took to his social media account to post some pictures with Sushmita and wrote a very long caption. For the unversed, in the announcement post, Lalit Modi had apparently tagged the wrong account of Sushmita Sen and that was too trolled by many. Therefore, in the caption of his most recent post, Mr. Lalit Modi first mentioned this issue and questioned why the media is trolling him for a tag that he believes is correct. Further in the caption, he writes that it seems that we are still living in the “middle ages” where two people cannot be accepted as friends especially if they have good chemistry and timing. Taking a jab at the journalists, he further wrote that since there is no concrete law for such trolls, “every journalist is becoming is Arnab Goswami”. He further stated that he advise to everyone “Live and let live” and also insisted that the journalists should write correct news. Lalit Modi also issued a clarification on the speculations of his ex-wife Minal Modi and wrote that she was his good friend for 12 years, and was not his mother’s friend. He also issued a statement over reports calling him a “fugitive” and lastly completed the caption saying “Shame on u fake media.Now they act like HEROS. Have integrity for once”.

On the other hand, Sushmita Sen also posted a picture of hers from the Maldives trip on Instagram on July 16, Saturday. Sushmita Sen gave a caption that had a subtle yet strong answer to the trolls. She first mentioned how serene the view is and the power it has to cancel all the noises. Also, gave a picture courtesy to her daughter, Alisah Sen.
