Recently, an actor, Sana Saeed she some light on a disorder called Bulimia. For the unversed, she played the role of SRK’s daughter in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. She later went to do more Bollywood projects. Recently, in a video, she opened up about suffering from Bulimia, an eating disorder that has affected her for years, but she was unaware of it. What Did Sana Saeed Say?
In a video shared by the actor on social media, Sana Saeed opened up about how she did not want to constantly want to “hide and eat” and fear that someone would walk into her room. The actor further credited a book for helping her overcome the fear of accepting that she suffered from Bulimia. Sana Saeed said that she was so scared of accepting that she was suffering from Bulimia as she had never heard of it before, and she never wanted to face it.
Sana wrote that the lack of knowledge about the eating disorder made it difficult for her to accept that she had it. According to her, she silently handled the disorder for years. The actor shared her story to help somebody out there who may be going through the same thing but didn’t know that it had a word. As per the note, Sana Saeed has fully recovered from the eating disorder, and urged people going through it to reach out for help.

What Is Bulimia?
The medical term for it is Bulimia Nervosa. The symptom of this eating disorder is a person’s uncontrollable desire to keep eating, or bingeing. The person eats large quantities of food, and there is a constant sense of guilt as well. This leads them to vomiting on purpose to refrain from gaining weight, as per a Mayo Clinic report. The person is constantly unhappy about their weight. It is suggested that when someone notices such symptoms of Bulimia, they should immediately seek a doctor’s attention.
