During a chat with Karishma Mehta on Humans of Bombay, Kriti Sanon said that freezing her eggs had been on her mind for a long time, but she only considered it after someone encouraged her. Sanon stated that the process can make one get bloated, which came at the perfect time since she was already gaining weight for her film Mimi. She stated that this was the “best gift” that one can gift themselves and said that it was the right time to do it. For the unversed, freezing your eggs is a medical procedure where women get their eggs collected and stored for future use. Many go through this process to preserve fertility and keep the option of becoming mothers at a later stage in life.

However, as soon as the news came out, Times of India reported that the image of Kabir had been misunderstood by everyone and that the girl was actually a family friend whom she thought of as a sister.
