‘Billi Billi’ Song: The First-Ever Sukhbir Song We Didn’t Vibe To!

After the ‘Naiyo Lagda’ song from the Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde starrer, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, was released, I knew it in my bones that none of the songs from the film are going to be decently likeable. And my feeling was proven right after the new song from this film titled, ‘Billi Billi’, was released. Firstly, what in the name of the animal kingdom is the song’s name? Secondly, what the heck is that hook step? Sung and composed by Sukhbir, the ‘Billi Billi’ song just did not purr for me.

A couple of seconds into the song, Salman Khan starts dancing. It was only a disaster hereon. I wanted to hit my head into the wall every time he moved because he really looked better standing still. Salman has not been known for his dancing skills lately, but they really did Pooja Hegde dirty in this one. She was given pathetic steps as well which was a mixture of a weird break dance or freestyle.
This was still a bit bearable but when I saw that the background dancers were given cat masks and they all did that weird step with their hands to symbolise a cat, I officially lost it! The hook step is crap! Oh lord! I mean Salman Khan still looked okay doing those steps but my heart goes out to Pooja.

I will never understand how singing, ‘Billi Billi ankh, soniye’ amounts to danceable lyrics. And what is this weird comparison of a woman’s eyes to that of a cat? This makes no sense whatsoever. We wish Shehnaaz Gill was given some screen space to show off her moves. But she appeared hardly for a second at the beginning and the end of the song. It was literally a blind and a miss shot.

We did not vibe to this song at all. All I ask is can we have better choreography and lyrics, please? Because these two things make or mar the track!
