Kanikka Kapur revealed her initial reaction when she people mistook her for Kiara Advani in Batwara in 1947.

Ever since Batwara 1947’s trailer was released, people thought that Kiara Advani was also a part of the film. When they didn’t see her name in the credits, that surely confused many people. Who Is Kanikka Kapur And Why Is She Being Mistaken For Kiara Advani?

Kanikka Kapur is an actress who made her debut in 2015 with Tippu. However, after her new film Batwara 1947’s poster was out, many mistook her for Kiara Advani. She reacted to the same during her conversation with HT City. The actress revealed that when she saw people mistake her for Kiara Advani after coming across Batwara 1947’s poster, she laughed a lot. The actress stated that people have compared her before but not to this extent. She revealed thinking that when they watch the film, they will look for Kiara Advani; however, she expressed being okay with it as one can’t explain to everyone that she was the one who starred in it. Kanikka also shared that people have already told her she looks like Kiara. She recalled the actress’ makeup artist, who was doing her makeup, saying, “Oh my God, it just feels like Kiara only.” She added that many people say that they both look alike; however, there are people who think that they don’t look alike.

Kanikka Kapur Recalls THIS

Further in the conversation, Kanikka Kapur recalled doing a web show called Immature season 2, in which she wore a ponytail. She revealed that at the time, there were comparisons where people put both of their pictures together. She recalled that her picture from the show was put with Kiara Advani’s look from Kabir Singh. The actresses stated that because those looks were similar, people naturally compared them. She added that she is used to being compared to her. Further, the actress shared that she doesn’t mind it because she finds her really pretty.

Batwara 1947, which also stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol, is slated to release in theatres on August 14.
