If there is one actress in the industry who is not afraid to comment on anyone or share her thought on any subject, it is Kangana Ranaut. She has made so many controversial statements so far that they can all be compiled into a book titled Kangana Ki Tadvi Baatein. (Kangana, if you are reading this, and liked the idea, please give me 10 per cent of the profit you make. Thanks.) The Thailavi actress does not only bash those who criticise her but also goes after those who praise her. Recently, Aamir Khan was on the receiving end of her sharp-worded comments at an event when all he did was praise her.
Aamir Khan was present at writer Shobhaa De’s book launch event. Here, he was asked which actors from the current generation would he choose to play the lead role in De’s biopic. The Laal Singh Chaddha actor went on to name some of the prolific actresses who are reining the film industry currently like Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Deepika Padukone. To this, Shobhaa De told him that he is forgetting Kangana Ranaut’s name, and went on to shower heaps of praise on her.
The Emergency actress shared this clip on her Twitter and wrote a caption starting with, “Bechara Aamir Khan.” She also mock laughed and said that Aamir was pretending to not know that she is the only three-time National Award-winning actress and how he did not mention this achievement of hers.
In the video, Aamir Khan agreed with Shobhaa De, and said that Kangana is one of the most versatile actresses who does ‘comedy and drama well’. Umm… did Aamir roast Kangana in a subtle dig? Shibhaa De also praised her performance in Thalaivi in which she played the role of the late Jayalalitha.

As much as we appreciate Kangana’s acting chops, shouldn’t she lock horns with those who are praising her? Aamir did not say anything wrong, did he? Toh phir fukat mein kyu bhidna hai? Anyway, on the work front, the 35-year-old actress will next be seen in the autobiographical film, Emergency where she is essaying the role of India’s first female Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.
