Kangana Ranaut Cropped Out Of ‘Ungli’ Poster By Dharma Productions, Fans Call KJo Out

We’re all aware of the whole debate over nepotism that started in 2020 and is ongoing albeit, a little more passive. I think more than anyone, that whole argument was a huge blow to Karan Johar as he was attacked by the people for his constant endorsement of star kids. To put a cherry on top of an already very disastrous sundae, Kangana Ranaut attacked everyone, especially KJo for Bollywood’s favouritism which is evident through nepotism. Their ongoing enmity began when Ranaut went to Karan Johar’s infamous talk show Koffee With Karan and she accused him of being a “flag-bearer of nepotism” and the “movie mafia.” Following that, Kangana has made a lot of allegations against him and after last year, she managed to change a lot of people’s perspectives on him.

KJo’s Dharma Productions recently posted the poster of Ungli, to commemorate the movie’s 7th anniversary. It originally features Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Angad Bedi, Randeep Hooda, Neil Bhoopalam and Sanjay Dutt. However, following the ongoing war, Dharma Productions has cropped Kangana out of the poster, who was originally standing Emraan Hashmi.

This did not miss the fans’ attention and people took to social media to call out KJo and troll Dharma Productions. Some were fans that were shaming the director for being petty,

While many mocked him for being too obvious,

According to sources, when both Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut were awarded the esteemed Padma Shri, they did not run into each other as Ranaut said, “‘I tried to spot him around but he was not there.” when asked if she would be open to speaking to him if she did see him she said, “Of course.” she added, “There can be conflicts and there can be disagreements, but that doesn’t mean that you do not believe in coexisting. That’s what I speak about, coexisting and giving equal opportunities whether it is for men, women or outsiders, insiders, underprivileged, overprivileged, nepotism. I encourage co-existence of all kinds.”

Now, I am no Kangana Stan. I do find a lot of what she says very controversial, hurtful and offensive. However, I don’t think it was completely right for Dharma Productions to try and take away credit for work she has put into a project. That is disrespectful to her work as an actress. Regardless, I cannot help but find the pettiness of it all pretty amusing, to say the least.
