Coups shared details about his members’ military enlistment, the group’s upcoming hiatus, and when they will reunite. His words have left fans with mixed and bittersweet emotions. On May 13, SEVENTEEN held fan meetings in Japan. It took place at the Tokyo Dome on May 13 and 14 and more shows will take place on May 23 and 24 at Kyocera Dome in Osaka.

At the event, leader S. Coups opened up about the group’s plans. He said that after these fan meetings and their 10th anniversary event, the group will go on a hiatus. This break will last until all members finish their mandatory duties and return together as thirteen. S. Coups promised to work hard during this time to keep fans happy and engaged.
The leader himself does not have to serve in the military. He received an exemption because of a serious knee injury. After surgery on his left knee, doctors placed him in Grade 5, which will let him stay active with the group while others go to fulfil their service.

Even though the coming days will be quiet, fans aren’t going anywhere. They will wait for the day SEVENTEEN returns as a full team. They are looking at this break as a necessary step for the members to complete their national duties.
