Recently, Mark Lee was seen having a blast at the Coachella music festival. Fans were happy to see him having fun at the festival. But some people started noticing something in his photos. In the pictures he posted on Bubble, the former NCT member made peace signs and a fan noticed that he was not wearing the special friendship ring that NCT Dream members used to wear.

For those of you who don’t know, the NCT Dream members had matching friendship rings. Hence, when fans saw that Mark Lee was not wearing the ring in his new photos, they began to wonder if he had ended his friendships with the other members.
However, most fans quickly came to the former NCT member’s defence. They reminded everyone that when he left the group, he had spoken kindly about his time with the group. He clearly said that all the members supported his decision. Many fans believe that not wearing the ring does not mean he has cut off his friends.
For the unversed, on April 3, 2026, SM Entertainment announced that Mark Lee would officially leave the agency and NCT on April 8. After spending ten years with the company, his contract had ended. The former member had been a part of NCT 127, NCT Dream, and NCT U. After he left, NCT 127 continued as a seven-member group and NCT Dream as a six-member group.

In a heartfelt handwritten letter on Instagram, Mark Lee looked back at his ten years since debuting in 2016. He thanked fans for their love and support. Mark Lee also shared that his members fully supported his choice. He explained that this was not the end but the beginning of a new chapter and promised to come back later as a better version of himself.
