Aespa Winter Faces Body-Shaming Over “Slender” Figure In Viral Video. This Toxic Obsession Needs To End Now!

Being a celebrity means living under the public eye and facing online scrutiny. This is especially true for female K-pop idols, whose bodies are often picked apart and criticised. Recently, it happened again when Aespa’s Winter became the target of body shaming. A simple concert fancam gave rise to mean comments about her figure. Read on to know more about it.

Aespa Winter Hit With Harsh Body-Shaming Comments Online

Recently, a fancam from Aespa’s concert went viral on popular online forum Pann and ignited intense discussion over Winter’s body. Some people made mean comments about her hips. They said her hips were not actually wide and her curves only looked that way because of her small waist. Following which, many netizens and fans got angry and strongly defended Winter and told them to stop focusing on her body.

Our Take

This kind of behaviour is really sad and frustrating. Why do people feel the need to judge a woman’s body? It is not right to comment on how wide or narrow someone’s hips are. Such rude comments can hurt their confidence and make their job even more stressful. Everyone deserves respect, no matter what. Body shaming helps no one and only spreads negativity.

From there, they will travel to many cities across Asia, then go to Latin America, North America, and Europe.
