IU spoke about the issue at a special group viewing for the last episode. She also put up a message on her Instagram page. In her words, she said sorry for not acting like a responsible lead star. She felt bad for not thinking enough about the historical mistakes in the story. IU admitted she should have checked the script more carefully. The show tried to show Korea’s special past and beautiful traditions, but she failed to study them well. She took the blame fully without giving any reasons. IU thanked fans for watching till the end and for their honest views. She promised to be more careful in all her future projects and learn from this.

On May 18, 2026, Byeon Woo Seok shared a note on Instagram. He told everyone he had worried a lot over the weekend about hurting people more with his words. With a heavy heart, he said sorry to those who felt upset or worried because of the drama. He explained that while making the show, he did not think deeply about the history and its meaning. Byeon Woo Seok also did not consider how people would see the story. The actor said he would now act in a more careful and responsible way in future.
