Amber Heard Accuses Johnny Depp Of Sexual Assualt With Liquor Bottle Amid Defamation Case Hearing
After their divorce in 2017, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have constantly been in the news due to their legal battle. From sexual and physical assault allegations to evidence that flip the whole case around, we have seen it all. Now the hearing of Johnny Depp’s defamation case against Amber Heard for $50 million took place yesterday April 13 and a lot of new revelations have come up.
In Johnny Depp;’s defamation case hearing that occurred yesterday, Amber Heard’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft read out statements of the actress claiming that Depp sexually assaulted her using a liquor bottle during an episode of being black-out drunk. The couple was married for a year back in 2015 after they met on the sets of The Rum Diary. Depp filed a defamation case against Heard after the latter posted an op-ed piece for The Washington Post in 2018, namelessly accusing Depp of being abusive. Depp claimed that the article ruined his reputation as an A-list movie star.

The trial was held at Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia. The original allegations included Heard accusing Depp of abusing her during their relationship which she claimed was using under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The couple divorced in 2017.

Additionally, Johnny Depp’s best friend, Isaac Baruch was examined in the hearing by Bredehoft about texts he exchanged with Depp in October 2016 where Depp called Heard a “c*nt”. According to sources, Depp also said to Baruch via text saying he hopes Heard’s, “rotting corpse is decomposing in the trunk”. (I don’t understand why a word synonymous with ‘vagina’ is an insult to women but alright). However, Baruch said that he barely saw the couple fight and saw them argue only twice in the time he stayed with them.

After the allegations, Depp’s sister Christi Dembrowski took a stand for him. She talked about their troubled upbringing and brought up the fact that during his previous marriage with Venessa Paradis, they were married for 14 years but rarely fought with each other. She also recalled that Heard used to frequently insult Depp and spoke about when he met with Dior regarding a partnership.
According to Times Now, Dembrowski claimed that Heard was disgusted and said, “Dior? Why would Dior want to do business with you? They are about class and style and you do not have style,” she also added that Heard used to call Depp an, “old, fat man.”
This isn’t the first time Johnny Depp has been sued by Heard for being abusive. He earlier lost a case libel case against The Sun in 2020 which called him a “wife beater”.
