We wait with bated breath to know the jury's verdict.

The high-profile defamation case of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has neared its end as the lawyers of both sides presented their closing arguments. The decision is now in the jury’s hands to pass a verdict on who has won the case. Johnny Depp’s team of lawyers including Camille Vasquez and Ben Chew first gave their closing arguments followed by Amber Heard’s lawyer Ben Rottenborn.

Johnny Depp And Amber Heard’s Lawyers’ Closing Arguments

As per reports, Camille Vasquez called Amber Heard a liar multiple times and also went on to say that her claim to be a representative of the domestic violence survivors is ‘an act of profound cruelty’. Depp’s other lawyer Ben Chew came forward and referred to the #MeToo Movement and said that it is for ‘true survivors’ and not Amber.

Then, Amber Heard’s lawyer Ben Rotterborn came forward and played the video of Johnny Depp slamming the kitchen cabinets shut while calling him a ‘monster’. To this, Camille Vasquez came forward to counter-argue and said to the judges that they cannot pick the parts they want to believe. She clarified that they either believe all of it or none of it.

Details of when Amber Heard attended The Late Late Show with James Corden were also brought up where Depp’s lawyers said that there were no bruises visible on her face and called Heard’s claims to be a ‘hoax’. But her lawyer Ben countered it by saying that Amber’s makeup artist Melanie Inglessis had confirmed that she had used makeup to hide her bruises.
