Jennifer Lopez Introduces Daughter Emme Using Gender-Neutral Pronouns. The Internet Is All Hearts!
Very rarely do we have parents addressing their children with pronouns other than he/him or she/her because they are not comfortable or open to the idea that their child might not identify with these pronouns. But pop star Jennifer Lopez recently broke this notion as she addresses her daughter Emme using they/them on the stage at a recent event and the Internet has widely appreciated her for the same. Jennifer and Emme performed together at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala where they raised funds worth $3.6 million for local causes.

As per a report by Outlook India, the On The Floor singer introduced her daughter Emme using gender-neutral pronouns they/them. She said that the last time they both were at a huge stadium like this and she had asked Emme to perform with her but ‘they wont’. Hence, this makes it a very special occasion. Jennifer also went on to joke about Emme by saying that ‘they’ are ‘very busy, booked and pricey’ as well. Lastly, Lopez also called Emme to be her ‘favourite duet partner’. The mother-daughter duo sang Christina Perri’s ‘A Thousand Years’ song.

Emme had worn a bright pink shirt and shorts and also wore a black clap-back whereas JLo looked stunning in a blue outfit with ruffled sleeves! In the video, Emme is also seen holding a rainbow-coloured microphone as they crooned the song with their mother.
