Jawan Press Con: Shah Rukh Khan Reveals Deepika Padukone Didn’t Know She Was Playing A Major Role

Finally, the makers of Jawan have organised a press conference in Mumbai, and social media is already filled with pictures and videos of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone from the event. It is well-known now that Deepika has done her cameo role in Jawan out of her love for SRK, and also that she does not charge for her cameo roles when it comes to Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty movies. But at the Jawan Mumbai press-con, SRK revealed that he and Atlee fooled her into making a full-length movie!

Jawan star Shah Rukh Khan spoke about Deepika Padukone’s role in the film. Talking about the actress’ cameo, SRK said, “Deepika thought she would be doing a cameo for a friend. But between Atlee and me, we fooled her and made a full-length movie with her and she did not even realise.” SRK also revealed when Deepika saw the film later, she realised that she had played a major role in Jawan.

Elaborating more about Deepika Padukone’s role in Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan said, “She didn’t even know she was playing a main character. So, she’s all awkward sitting here now, but thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Deepika, for doing this film.”
