How Much Did Jana Nayagan Collect On Opening Day? Vijay’s Final Movie Box Office Update!
As per reports, Jana Nayagan earned about Rs 41 crore net across India on its very first day.
Actor and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay has millions of fans who love him a lot. Everyone was super excited for his final movie, Jana Nayagan. However, the film faced many problems, and its release kept getting delayed. Therefore, fans felt restless and kept waiting. But now the wait is finally over. The movie has come out in theatres and here’s how much it earned.
Vijay’s Jana Nayagan Box Office Collection Day 1
As per reports, Jana Nayagan earned about Rs 41 crore net across India on its very first day. The film received immense love from Tamil Nadu and other places too. The actor’s fans made sure to come out and cheer for him. The Tamil version collected Rs 36.50 crore, the Telugu version earned Rs 2.75 crore, and the Hindi version brought Rs 1.75 crore. Overall, theatres across India saw 41.6 percent occupancy, with the Tamil version doing really well at 68.31 per cent.
Tamil Nadu collected a solid Rs 24 crore on the very first day. Karnataka followed with Rs 11.25 crore, Kerala earned Rs 5.52 crore, and the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana region earned Rs 4 crore. The rest of India brought in about Rs 3.50 crore. All these numbers together pushed the total domestic collection to Rs 48.27 crore. Overseas markets added another Rs 30 crore, which took the worldwide gross to a healthy Rs 78.27 crore on opening day.

H. Vinoth directed the film. Thalapathy Vijay plays Vetri Kondan, a retired police officer who trains his adopted daughter, played by Mamitha Baiju, to become a brave soldier. They face many difficulties because of her past. Bobby Deol plays the role of the villain called John Himler. Pooja Hegde also has an important part, and it hit theatres on July 24.
