The attention to the same topic intensified after the actor passed away back in 2025. What Did Hema Malini Say Exactly?

Hema Malini recently had a conversation with E-Times during which she stated that their family is very “united”, and that was all she could say. The veteran actress stated that they were all happy with each other and further asked not to believe everything that is “created through AI.” She also looked back at how her late husband, Dharmendra, supported her. Hema Malini stated that she got such a wonderful soulmate. She revealed having memories of him that she will cherish till the end of her life, adding that he supported her in everything she did. The Seeta Aur Geeta star stated that her late husband would ask her to continue dancing, as he believed that this art form was spiritual and that it brought her happiness and kept her healthy. She credited Dharmendra’s support and strength for anything that she was doing today. She expressed missing that now. The veteran actress stated that he wasn’t there now and this void cannot be filled, adding that she thinks of him every minute.

Hema Malini On Criticism Over Years

Hema Malini also reportedly spoke about the criticism they have faced over the years. She stated that they never bothered about any of that, and they have lived their lives according to them, not for people who wanted to criticise or judge them. She further revealed that they lived with true love, adding that right from the beginning, they knew they were meant for each other and nobody could change that.

For the unversed, Dharmendra married Prakash Kaur in 1954 and welcomed Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta Deil and Ajeita Deol. He married Hema Malini in 1980 after reportedly converting to Islam to perform a private nikah ceremony. The duo welcomed two daughters, Esha and Ahanna Deol.
