‘Govinda Naam Mera’ Trailer: Looks Like A Humorous Mystery With Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani And Bhumi Pednekar In A Love Triangle!

It’s usually pretty fun to watch trailers and set your expectations about movies in general. This is especially true for Bollywood movies’ trailers because they try to add literally all the elements of the movie in an attempt to catch your interest and attention as a whole. I observed something similar in the official trailer for the movie Govinda Naam Mera starring Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani, which dropped today. The trailer in itself is about a minute long but it takes you on a journey full of laughter, a lot of confusion and a spark of mystery. It’s clearly a twisted tale of love, betrayal and humour.
This movie directed by Shashank Khaitan aims to unleash a laugh riot interlaced with mystery in an entirely new way. It showcases Vicky Kaushal in the role of Govinda, a choreographer who loves to dress up in eccentric outfits, dance to crazy songs, speak in a mawali lingo and of course, spend time with his choreography partner and loving girlfriend, Suku i.e. Kiara Advani. Alas, their union isn’t quite as blessed for it has been halted by his wife Gauri, played by Bhumi Pednekar. She treats Govinda like crap and wants him to pay her two crores in exchange for his freedom in the form of a divorce.
Things start going haywire when Govinda decides to threaten Gauri with a gun. This ends with him and Suku becoming suspects for murder as they discover a body at his house. But, have they actually killed someone or are they being framed? There seems to be chaotic confusion about this, all through the trailer. But it’s safe to say that this comical murder mystery might actually have a lot of fun in store for us, with catchy and crazy dialogues, hot chemistry between Govinda and Suku, a confusing mystery and of course, the incredible acting by the talented trio.
This will be the second time that Vicky Kaushal will be sharing the screen with both of these actresses and therefore, he already has a nice bond with them. All in all, I see a lot of scope in this movie, for a mysterious, funny and entertaining movie that could definitely be worth a watch!

Govinda Naam Mera is skipping a theatrical release and would straightaway, be releasing on the OTT platform, Disney+ Hotstar. The movie will be out on December 16, 2022.
