It has been a while since we saw Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh in a movie together. I remember absolutely enjoying their pairing in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (yes, I am a cheesy romantic, sue me). However, I have missed their jodi since both of them haven’t appeared in a movie together and Genelia being on a hiatus for almost 10 years. However, my needs have been met and how? The news of Riteish Deshmukh’s directorial debut with Genelia as the star has been in talks for a while. However, nothing prepared me for what the project could be. Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh took to their social media and posted the poster of their upcoming movie Mister Mummy and I have way too many questions.
The poster of Mister Mummy features Riteish Deshmukh with his pregnant stomach out for us to see. Yes, he is shown to be pregnant and that is where all my doubts lie, to be honest. The tagline of the poster hilariously reads, “Wholehearted comedy, pet se.”

While the Mister Mummy poster might be weird to look at, I believe that is where its power lies. The poster is intriguing and erratic enough for people to talk about it, look at us now! I feel like people underestimate the power of the absurd. And this poster is exactly that, absurd in the best way possible. Being a fan of comedies, I am looking forward to seeing more of Mister Mummy.

I really think that Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh have struck upon a pretty interesting idea. And while I am confused by the ominous poster, I am equally as intrigued to know exactly what Mister Mummy has to offer!
