Gauahar Khan And Zaid Darbar’s Love Story
Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar recently appeared on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s podcast, where they looked back at their love story. During the conversation, it was revealed that Zaid had slid into her DMs. Gauahar recalled replying to his flirty text and just after 4-5 sentences, he said, “Don’t get married.” The actress revealed that when she asked him his age, he said that he was 24. She quickly asked him to exit the chat right away. Gauahar also recalled that at the time she was in her “rebellion” phase, where she wanted to keep men away from her. Gauahar stated that he got scared suddenly and revealed that he was actually lying about his age, as he thought that she was 26. She recalled that he was 29 at the time and that he sent his passport and Aadhaar card, adding that there was a 6-year age gap. She shared that paparazzi think that the couple has a 10-year age gap.
When Their Families Questioned Their 6-Year Age Gap
During their chat, Gauahar Khan also revealed that Zaid Darbar proposed to her within one month; however, their families opposed the idea. They even reportedly raised questions regarding their age gap. The actress recalled being very clear that if anyone had a problem with attending the wedding, they could just skip it. But despite the initial hesitation from their families, Gauahar and Zaid’s nikah was perfect. She also expressed not expecting him to cry during her entry. Zaid said that he didn’t stop for around 10 minutes after looking at her. For the unversed, the couple tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed two sons, Zehaan and Farwaan, in 2025.
