Garosero Institute Head Kim Se Ui Responds To Charges Over Kim Soo Hyun And Kim Sae Ron Dating Row
On May 26, the Seoul Central District Court held a detention hearing for the head of Garosero Institute. He is facing charges for breaking the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes. He is also charged with defamation. However, Kim Se Ui denied all the accusations. He said the arrest warrant was unfair and did not check the basic facts.
The head of the Garosero Institute explained that his team had used AI to alter voice recordings. He pointed out that the National Forensic Service could not clearly say if the voices were fake. He felt upset that the police did not fully trust this official report. Instead, he claimed they listened more to a private company hired by Kim Soo Hyun’s side, which he called wrong.
Because of this, Kim Se Ui said he will file a complaint with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. He plans to accuse workers from the Gangnam Police Station and the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office of misusing their power.

The main accusations against Kim Se Ui come from his Garosero YouTube channel. He is said to have shared lies claiming that Kim Sae Ron dated Kim Soo Hyun while she was still a minor. He also suggested that pressure from Kim Soo Hyun’s team to repay debts led to her death. Additionally, he faces charges for using AI to change Kim Sae Ron’s voice and making up stories.
