BTS Speaks Up Against Busan Hotel Price Hike Ahead Of Arirang World Tour
During the livestream, the BTS members were happily talking about their concerts when RM raised the issue of accommodation prices in Busan. He clearly expressed his disappointment over the sudden hike in rates around the tour dates. Jimin and Jungkook, who are both from Busan, strongly condemned the unfair practice. They pointed out how local businesses were taking advantage of fans travelling to see them. RM also mentioned that while the group wished they could do more to stop it, they hoped the matter would be handled properly by authorities.
This was not the first time the problem appeared. Earlier this year, after BTS announced their world tour, many hotels and lodges in Busan increased prices abnormally and made it difficult for fans to find affordable stays. The members’ comments during the live session have been widely praised. Fans feel supported and valued, as the group used its huge influence to highlight an issue that directly affects them.
