The hit duo of Kanika Dhillon and Taapsee Pannu are back with a promising film titled Gandhari. It is directed by Devashish Makhkija and stars a talented cast of Ishwak Singh, Chhaya Kadam, Mita Vashisht and Jatin Sarna in pivotal roles. The film’s trailer dropped on August 25, and the action-thriller promises a solid premise with some strong performances to look forward to. Read here for more about it.

The trailer gives us a gripping glimpse of the film. Written and produced by Kanika Dhillon, the film follows the story of Bani (Taapsee Pannu), who goes on a risky search for her daughter after she gets kidnapped by a child-trafficking gang. Bani also goes blind in the process of saving her daughter, but nothing can stop this mother from bringing her daughter back. Ishwak Singh is seen as Bani’s husband, and the characters share an emotional bond that we are looking forward to, as this is the first on-screen pairing of the two actors. The trailer also gives a sneak peek into the characters played by Chhaya Kadam, Mita Vashisht and Jatin Sarna. The film has action, drama and a lot of emotions, and we cannot wait to witness how the story unfolds on September 3.
During the trailer launch event, Taapsee Pannu and Ishwak Singh also spoke about how easy it was to work with each other. Taapsee hailed Ishwak as a very easygoing co-actor who blends in easily. Chhaya Kadam also looked very excited about her role in the film. She praised the cast and director of the film, and also expressed her joy of learning Bengali, a new language and culture, for playing the character. She further described her character as the woman who everyone needs in their lives.
