From Body-Shaming To Lack Of Humour, 5 Thoughts We Had While Watching Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4!
Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, and others. Here's our review!
There are so many movie franchises in India that have a charm of their own, and fans absolutely love them. Directed by Indra Kumar, the Dhamaal series is one of them. Now, Part 4 is here, with an ensemble cast like Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sanjay Mishra, Ravi Kishan, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Esha Gupta, and others. After watching the film, I have to say it left me with more questions than laughs. It tries to be a crazy ride, but it often feels like it is running in circles.
Body-Shaming Is Not Cool
One big problem is the body-shaming jokes. In this generation, it feels surprising that such lines are still seen as funny. Characters make fun of a woman’s body weight and looks in ways that come off as mean instead of comedy. These moments do not make me laugh – they just make me roll my eyes and wonder why the makers thought it was okay.
What About The Story?
Story-wise, things stay thin. Honestly, it feels like not much is really happening. The group goes on an adventure to hunt treasure, but the plot jumps around without any proper direction. The dialogues sound plain and forced, like they were written without much thought. You keep waiting for something exciting, but it rarely happens.
Should We Laugh? Maybe Or Maybe Not
Humour is the biggest disappointment. This is supposed to be a comedy full of adventure and laughs, right? Yet I only smiled properly at one single moment in the whole movie. The rest of the time, it depends on old-style gags that fall flat. The actors try hard to create chemistry, but even they struggle with the weak material. Earlier Dhamaal films had that silly magic. But this one? It was badly missed.
Performances
The actors do a fine job with what they are given. Ajay Devgn’s screen presence is good, and the supporting cast add their colour as well. No one is bad, but no one really shines either. They all seem stuck in a script that does not give them interesting things to do.
Conclusion
At the end of the day, many of us are simply tired of films like this. Around the world, people are making bold, creative movies that feel new and exciting. Here, we keep getting the same old formula with loud music and insensitive jokes. If filmmakers do not step up and offer better stories, how can audiences stay excited? We deserve more than just recycled ideas with star power.

Well, Dhamaal 4 had everything it needed to be a hit. Popular stars, a brand name, and the chance to become a family entertainer. Sadly, it misses the mark more often than it hits.
