Jung Ho-yeon began her career as a fashion model. She started freelancing and walked the runway at Seoul Fashion Week. In 2013, she gained fame in Korea by finishing as runner-up on the show Korea’s Next Top Model. Her big international step came in 2016 when she became the face for Louis Vuitton.
Everything changed for her in 2021 when she starred in the Netflix hit Squid Game. She played Kang Sae-byeok, a tough and brave North Korean defector known as Player 067. Her performance touched hearts around the world and won her a Screen Actors Guild Award.
She then made her movie debut in director Na Hong-jin’s sci-fi thriller HOPE.
