‘Fakt Mahilao Mate’ Trailer: Amitabh Bachchan Narrating This Gujarati Tale Of A Man Being Able To Hear A Woman’s Thoughts Looks Hilarious!
Being a Gujarati, I am a huge fan of the contemporary Gujarati language films that have been made. So, my excitement knew no bounds when I learnt that two of my favourite actors Yash Soni and Deeksha Joshi are starring in a family-oriented comedy film titled Fakt Mahilao Mate (meaning, For Ladies Only). What is all the more interesting to note is Amitabh Bachchan is also going to play a cameo role in this film. He took to his Instagram account to share the trailer of Fakt Mahilao Mate. The film is directed by Jay Bodas. The film is slated to receive a theatrical release in theatres on August 19, 2022.
The trailer begins with Jay Soni AKA Chintan waking up in the morning to his grandmother and mother arguing at the top of their voices. He also has a sister who is younger than him which makes his household a woman-dominated one. Chintan goes on to recount how his grandmother, mother and sister are the ones always arguing, talking, and keeping the atmosphere lively. He also thinks to himself, that if he decides to get married and bring another woman home, it will cause all the more nuisance. Chintan is shown to be working in an apparel shop.
Further ahead, he sees how his mother and grandmother say something but mean something else and vice versa. He feels this is the cause of all the miscommunication and arguments between women. He goes to pray and asks Goddess Ambaji to bless him with a boon that will make him understand what women actually think about. And voila! He is granted that wish! He can hear what every woman is thinking to herself and is shocked by it.
Being the pakka Gujarati that he is, Chintan, then, uses this ability of his to mint money. He helps men who go on dates know the true intentions of the woman and what they think of them. He also uses his ability to scale his business to new heights. But how long does he have this ability and what will be the consequences of it, we’ll only know after watching the film.

The concept of the film is a fresh one and with Yash Soni in the lead, I am sure, he will not fail to deliver. There were not many scenes of Yash and Deeksha together in the trailer, so it is hard to comment on their chemistry. And Amitabh Bachchan’s voiceover is the icing on the cake!
