Exclusive: “I Was Kidnapped By A Truck Driver,” Soundarya Sharma Reveals Horrifying Incident

We often label our parents as overprotective and overthinkers when it comes to our safety, right? But never have we ever thought from their perspective of our parents as to why they worry so much about us. Especially, if you are a girl child, your parents only release the breaths they have been holding until you reach home safely if you are travelling late at night. And that is very obvious because they are men out there lurking and waiting for a chance to commit crimes against women. In the latest episode of The Male Feminist, Soundarya Sharma recalls the horrific incident when she was kidnapped by a truck driver in broad daylight. It is beyond imagination what Soundarya must have gone through.

In a conversation with Siddhaarth Aalambayan, Soundarya Sharma recalled a frightening experience when she was kidnapped by a truck driver. She said, “I was exiting the sports complex near my place at around 2.30-3 PM, and this truck driver used to see me daily.” She further shared details by saying that the driver enticed Soundarya with ice cream and kidnapped her.

Talking about how her sister came to know, Soundarya Sharma said, “My sister noticed that this driver would daily stand near the sports complex, and that is how my family figured out what had happened.”

Based on this incident, Bigg Boss 16 star Soundarya Sharma highlighted why it is important for parents to be strict with their kids. She said that it has become very easy to get distracted which scares the parents more as there are ten thousand things that could go wrong with the child in terms of safety.

It is important to build that trust and open communication channels with parents. There is no shame in letting them if you have reached a location safely or what time will you be returning home at night. This is not them restricting you but looking out for you.
