During the interview, Emraan was asked about his perspective on the dichotomy between mediocre films making significant numbers at the box office and small-budget films struggling in terms of commercial success. Emraan offered a nuanced take, emphasizing that mediocrity is a subjective viewpoint. He said “Mediocrity is a very subjective point of view kind of thing, I mean I don’t like slapstick like comedies, I would be sitting in a room with 10 people, I would feel it to be extremely mediocre, but there would be people laughing and loving it. So who’s to say what is mediocre and what is good.” He highlighted the diversity of taste, indicating that what appeals to one person may not resonate with another.

Emraan questioned the definition of mediocrity, pointing out that while a classically trained film critic might deem a mass-appealing film as mediocre and not like it on the other hand someone from a different background like a rickshaw puller or a Gaiety Galaxy front bench regular might genuinely love it. He also said that its ultimately a matter of taste and you should question when a film does really well or why has it not done really well, because you have not liked because and that’s your subjective opinion about it. Emraan added that, “So you are probably in the minority and you have had these people go and seen it and saying a lot, It has got its target audience, people have gone and watched the film, so each to their own.”
