Exclusive: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13’s Daisy Shah Reveals How Payments Are Decided For Films, Reality Shows
She did not do KKK for money!
The conversation around pay disparity in the film industry has been going on for a while now. There have been reports of how leading ladies like Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani have gotten paid significantly less than their male counterparts in the films. Now, with the ongoing Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 currently airing on television, fans want to know how much their favourite stars earn per episode of the show. In an exclusive interview with us, KKK 13 contestant, Daisy Shah, talked about pay disparity, and the differences in remuneration when it comes to starring in films and reality shows.

In a candid conversation with Hauterrfly, Daisy Shah talked about the difference in pay in films and reality shows. She said that she cannot really talk about that and be a judge of that. Daisy added that films are not episodic, and actors sign films on a project basis. But reality shows are signed on a week-basis or episode basis. “Your payments are going to be decided on the number of episodes you are going to be on the show,” Daisy Shah went on to say.

Daisy Shah, who is currently one of the toughest competitors on the show, said, “It depends, if you are there on the show and last till the end then, you are going to get a great amount. But unfortunately, if you are there only for a few episodes then you will be aid for those episodes only.”

Talking about how money was not a motivator for her to say yes to Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, Daisy Shah said, “I did KK for pure experience and to understand this field (reality shows) which is completely new to me.” Shah also went on to say that her experience on the stunt-based reality is all about the lessons and the learnings she is taking away from the show.
