Jennifer Mistry On Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
During the chat, Jennifer Mistry said, “I was the only one from the team of TMKOC who stepped forward about the issues I was facing. A lot of people have also faced many issues, but they never spoke out. I used to get angry before, but at the end of the day, it’s their lives. I shared my problems with Munmun Dutta when we were in Singapore in 2019, and because she was my friend and a strong woman, she yelled at Asit Modi.
But when the case fully came out, no one wanted to get involved with it. According to me, there’s this mentality among people that ‘Oh, she’s a Parsi, she drinks, she wears frocks, so she would be up for anything.’ Even my mother-in-law was sceptical about how I would fit in the house and help, but then after 3-4 years, she said that my image in her mind was completely wrong. Even people in my comment section say that this industry is only bad. If you come here, expect such behaviours, and I would like to clarify, aside from this se*ual harassment case that I have filed, I was never mistreated.”
