K-pop Group EPEX Opens Up On Writing Vulnerable Lyrics And Plans Of Indian Concert

1. Music often heals the creator before it heals the listener. While writing and recording these tracks, which specific lyric felt like it was written to heal your own heart?

WISH: In “Call it love”, there’s a line in YEWANG’s bridge that says, “비밀 없이 다 말 할 수 있지 넘치는 내 마음 (I can tell you everything without any secrets; my heart is overflowing).” The combination of the melody and those lyrics really moves me, and I find a lot of comfort in that part.

MU: In “BETTER DAYS”, I really love the lyric “너와 내가 발을 딛고 있는 Right today” (You and I are standing right here today).

A-MIN: In “Call it love”, there’s a lyric that says, “오랜 날 흘러도 안 변할게” (Even after a long time passes, I’ll never change). I think it perfectly reflects the relationship we have with our fans, which makes it especially meaningful to me.

BAEKSEUNG: While writing and singing the songs, the lyrics that carried the message, “괜찮아질 거야 (Everything will be okay),” resonated with me the most. It felt like I was saying those words to someone else, but in the end, I realised they were the words I needed to hear myself.

AYDEN: At the very beginning and end of “Call it love”, there’s the lyric “단 하나의 사랑 (The one and only love)”. There’s something so romantic and heartfelt about it that it really moves me. It feels like it perfectly expresses how I feel about our fans.

2. Many K-pop groups are now adding India to their tour stops. Since you just announced your 4th concert, can we expect an Indian date on the schedule?

WISH: If we get the chance, I’d really love to meet our ZENITH in India in person.

MU: Nothing has been confirmed yet, but we always want to meet our fans around the world. If we’re ever given the opportunity, we’d be there in a heartbeat.

A-MIN: All of the members really hope we can visit India. Every time we see content from India or messages from our fans there, it makes us want to meet you as soon as possible. If the opportunity comes, we’ll be there right away.

BAEKSEUNG: We truly want to meet our fans in India. There’s nothing we can announce just yet, but if we get the chance, we’d love to come perform for you in person. Please wait for us just a little longer.

AYDEN: If our schedules align, I’d love to go to India right away. I want to try all the delicious food and experience the country’s amazing culture.

YEWANG: We don’t have any plans to visit India just yet, but we often hear about our ZENITH there, so India already feels very familiar to us. I think we’d all be incredibly happy if we had the chance to come. Please wait for us a little longer, and we’ll come with even more songs that can bring you comfort. We love you.

JEFF: If we ever get the opportunity, I’d love to perform in India and finally meet our fans there in person.

Furthermore, the EPEX members shared their interest in Indian cinema, music, and culture. Several members expressed love for Indian food. WISH said he wants to visit India to enjoy the local dishes. A-MIN also wants to try foods like curry and naan. BAEKSEUNG hoped to experience a variety of Indian foods and the culture firsthand.
