Exclusive: “I Did Hate Story 3 Because Salman Khan Encouraged Me”: Daisy Shah!
Daisy Shah is not a fan of intimate scenes!
Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 star Daisy Shah made her Hindi film debut with the 2014 film Jai Ho opposite Salman Khan. Since then, we have seen the actress on our screens but not as much. In an old interview, the actress spoke about getting rejected and not getting enough projects. Speaking about the same and her stint in Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, Daisy Shah shared her criteria for picking a project and how Salman Khan guided her in terms of work.

Speaking about her criteria for picking and rejecting projects, Daisy Shah said that she is not very comfortable doing intimate scenes. However, the actress revealed that she agreed to do Hate Story 3 to “break the mould” but it was a one-off thing and it was Bollywood bachelor Salman Khan who recommended she do the film. “Hate Story 3 was a one-off thing because I wanted to break the mould at that point in time. I also had a very good friend and Bollywood big shot, Salman Khan to guide me. He told me that I should do the film to just break the mould and that’s why I considered doing it but that was it.”

Highlighting that just because she has done a film like Hate Story 3 doesn’t mean she will continue doing films like that, Daisy Shah said, “Kar liya but that’s not something I want to follow. Kissing on-screen and all that is okay because it’s part of the project and that’s fine but anything more is a big no-no for me.” The actress shared that she’s not sure if she’s comfortable with intimate scenes and her thinking also changed a lot after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Concluding her statement, the actress said, “Kissing is still fine but other than that when you’re acting, you’re not only acting but rather living that moment at that particular time and I just feel that when it comes to certain things, you need to have your own boundaries in life.”

She does make a fair point. While we may not have a problem with actors doing intimate scenes on-screen, considering that they’re the ones doing it, they need to have absolute autonomy on whether they are comfortable with being touched a certain way or not.
