Exclusive: 16-Year-Old Survivor Records Statement Before Judicial Magistrate In Rohit Chandel POCSO Case
A case was registered against actor Rohit Chandel for allegedly harassing and assaulting a minor girl.
Pandya Store fame television actor Rohit Chandel has been making headlines for the past few weeks for all the wrong reasons. The Sairaab actor was arrested for allegedly harassing, stalking, repeatedly calling, and assaulting a girl. Since the girl was a minor, a case was registered against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Media reports have previously claimed that the girl is a 16-year-old actor. A source has now exclusively confirmed the same. The source has also revealed that the surviovor has recorded her statement in Vikhroli Court on Monday, July 20. This comes just as Rohit Chandel’s bail plea got rejected for the second time.
What Are New Developments In Rohit Chandel’s Case?
New details have emerged after the Sairaab star Rohit Chandel was reportedly arrested for allegedly harassing, assaulting, and stalking a minor girl. A source has revealed that the 16-year-old survior recorded her statement before the First Class Judicial Magistrate in Vikhroli Court on the afternoon of July 20. “She came in wearing a mask and sunglasses, accompanied by her brother. She went inside the Judicial Magistrate’s room around 2-2:30pm and was there till almost 5pm. She was inside for over 2 hours recording her statement. She was also worried about being spotted by media outside the court,” the source exculsively told Hauterrfly.
For the unversed, Rohit Chandel was accused of stalking and harassing a minor girl. The Ghatkopar police previously told ETimes that the accused actor has confessed to stalking a minor girl, adding that he was kept in judicial custody after appearing in court. The actor has filed a bail plea which has been rejected the second time during the court hearing on July 21.

What Did FIR Mention About Rohit Chandel In POCSO Case?
According to News18‘s report, the FIR against Rohit Chandel mentioned that he allegedly called the minor repeatedly from his personal number and with other mobile numbers despite her objecting to the same. Additionally, he had allegedly stopped the 16 year old near her housing society, followed her, and also got into a verbal altercation, verbally abused and assaulted her. Rohit was reportedly arrested from his Dahisar home on July 10 and produced before a special POCSO court, which remanded him to police custody. The television actor has been booked under the POCSO Act and has been charged under Section 78 and 115 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for allegedly voluntarily hurting and stalking the minor.
