Ektaa Kapoor Reveals She Got Hate For Applying Tika
The producer recently revealed how the entertainment industry has a huge problem with Hindu customs and traditions. In a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, she spoke about The Vvaan, and said that the numbers are great for a film, and that the important thing is that it deals with Hindu folklore. Ektaa Kapoor then called out ‘Hinduphobia’ and went on to say that the people in the industry are okay with animations but can’t accept it when discussing folklore. Ektaa Kapoor also revealed that she was once called a ‘freak’ for wearing tika and dhaaga.
Ekta Kapoor further recalled the time when someone was shocked after knowing that she was going to the club after visiting a temple. Ekta Kapoor also questioned what was so shocking about the same. She also said that people are so easily shocked in the industry when someone just follows their traditions and customs.

For the unversed, Ektaa Kapoor recently produced The Vvaan, and the Chhat puja song from the film went viral on social media.
