Dipika Chikhlia On Sai Pallavi As Sita
For the unversed, Dipika Chikhlia played the role of Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana. She recently shared her thoughts on actor Sai Pallavi being cast as Sita. The veteran actor spoke about it in an interview with Variety India. Dipika Chikhlia hailed Sai Pallavi as an actor and called her ‘phenomenal’; however, she also expressed doubts about the actor’s casting as Sita. Dipika Chikhlia opined that Ramayana doesn’t mention Sita Ji with curly hair, and therefore, the actor believed that such doubts can only be addressed when the film comes out and we get to see the actors in their respective roles. Dipika Chikhlia said, “If they fit the bill, it’s good.”
She shed light on the casting in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana. According to the actor, he was looking for an almond-eyed woman with a particular height and long hair, and that curly hair was not in the description. However, Dipika Chikhlia reiterated her strong belief in Sai Pallavi’s strong acting skills.

When Is Ramayana Releasing?
Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is releasing on Diwali, 2026. The film is expected to release in two parts. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Ravi Dubey, the film also stars Sunny Deol, Yash, Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil and Lara Dutta among others.
