Shah Rukh Khan About Nana Patekar
Recalling the incident, Shah Rukh Khan said that once he had gotten angry after a magazine published a joke where they linked him to a co-actor romantically. This upset his wife, Gauri Khan, since the two had recently gotten married at the time. This prompted him to confront the journalist who wrote it. The actor said that he had called the journalist after seeing the report, and the magazine said that it was a joke. He admitted to behaving angrily during this confrontation and later found himself in jail. It was Nana Patekar who finally got him out of police custody.
Shah Rukh recalled being allowed to make a phone call from the lock-up and that he chose to call that journalist rather than a family member or his lawyer, and threatened him once again. After this, he was granted bail when the veteran actor stepped in to help him. Looking back at the incident, Khan admitted that he had changed over the years and had tried to improve his behaviour while joking that his Delhi side occasionally resurfaced. The King star also shared an emotional tribute after Patekar’s death and recalled meeting him for the first time.
