Hollywood actor Tom Holland has been making headlines since the promotional run and now the release of his film, Spider Man: Brand New Day. Though the film has just released in the theatres, the actor has already considered the future of his legacy as Peter Parker in the famous superhero franchise with Marvel. Though fans are happy to see the actor return to this role, he has confirmed that conversations around his farewell might be ongoing.
Tom Holland As Spider Man
During a chat on the Happy Sad Confused Podcast, Tom Holland talked about his potential exit from the Spider Man franchise. He shared that the conversations had started right after Spider Man: No Way Home (2021). He stated that they had a big plan and that it was laid out with a clear vision which was really exciting. The actor also said that these were discussions that he genuinely enjoyed which are also shaping the future of Spider Man, and is something that he looks forward to the most. For the unversed, Holland started his journey as Peter Parker in the 2016 film, Captain America: Civil War. This was before his official arrival in the Spider Man films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
After Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, he is the third actor to play the role. Talking about his own role, Tom Holland stated that he would be excited to help the next actor take this role just like Robert Downey Jr helped him, during a chat with Esquire. When asked who he would choose to see as the next Spider Man, he took the name of Owen Cooper, the teen actor known for his performance in the Netflix series, Adolescence.
