Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash is one of the most anticipated films of 2026. The trailer has captivated fans with its surreal visuals and star-studded cast getting us into the world of ultimate Indian epic. Amid this, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, has also spoken about the film and has hoped the film goes to the Oscars. Read to know more about it here.

Devendra Fadnavis On Ramayana

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis came to inaugurate producer Namit Malhotra’s Prime One facility in Mumbai, where he also sang praises about his upcoming two-part film. He further expressed confidence in this project and even stated that he would be “disappointed” if Ramayana didn’t bring India an Oscar, as per the Hindustan Times. The CM addressed the crowd by talking about his vision for the film and the future of upscale filmmaking in India. Malhotra’s One Facility was inaugurated in Mumbai’s Film City. This comes months after the Maharashtra CM and Prime Focus announced their collaboration at the WAVES Summit where they announced building “Global Entertainment Ecosystem” in Mumbai to strengthen the city’s position as a world-class place for film production and visual effects.

On the other hand, the recently released Ramayana trailer has further created even more buzz among the audience about what was in the store for them. Ranbir Kapoor takes the role of Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Laxman, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and more. The film is set to release in the theatres on Diwali 2026. While many were all praises about the trailer, others felt that the visuals were not convincing and even questioned why we didn’t get any glimpse of Lord Hanuman. What are your thoughts on this?
