Deepika Padukone has starred in films across different genres. From romance and rom-com to action thrillers, she acted in them all. And now, she is all set to add another genre of film to her body of work which is sci-fi! Yes, the 37-year-old actress is going to star in the film titled Project K in the same genre. Well, the excitement around the project was already high as Deepika is cast opposite Prabhas in the film and now, the buzz is all more as the latter unveiled Padukone’s first look from the film. Deepika’s first look was dropped by Prabhas on her birthday on Thursday, January 5.
Prabhas took to his Instagram handle to unveil his co-star Deepika Padukone’s first look from their film Project K. In the picture shared by the Radhe Shyam actor, Deepika has her back to the camera. From her appearance, she is sporting shoulder-length hair and is dressed in a full-sleeved outfit. The words, “A hope in the dark” are written in the picture shared by Prabhas. He also penned a sweet note for the actress and called Deepika ‘super talented and gorgeous’. He also wished for her to have a super successful year ahead!
Project K is helmed and written by Nag Ashwin. The movie is a Vyjayanthi Movies production and was announced on the occasion of 50 years of the production house. The star cast of the film includes Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patni, Dulquer Salmaan, Suriya and Brahmanandam playing prominent roles. Reportedly, the film is set in a dystopia.

Deepika Padukone is currently gearing up for the release of her action film Pathaan, which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. Pathaan is a Siddharth Anand directorial and is produced by Aditya Chopra. The film will receive a theatrical release on January 25, 2023.
