‘Darlings’ Teaser: Shefali Shah-Alia Bhatt As The Not-So-Innocent Mother-Daughter Duo Are Here To Take Us On A Dark Ride!
Alia Bhatt is all set to add a new feather to her cap and that is of being a producer with the upcoming film Darlings. This project marks Alia’s first venture as a producer and the teaser of the same was dropped on July 5, 2022. It is the directorial debut of Jasmeet K Reen and its cast includes Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew essaying pivotal roles. The film is produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt and Gaurav Verma.
Darlings Teaser
The teaser begins with Alia narrating a story about a frog and a scorpion while she is enjoying a film in the theatre. While the story is being narrated, Vijay Verma is seen trying to woo her and he also succeeds at that. Both start getting close to each other but Verma starts suspecting Roshan Mathew of liking Alia as well.
He also watches Roshan with suspicious eyes all the time. In the meantime, a crime has taken place and Alia and Shefali Shah have come to the police station to talk to the cops. But it can be seen that they are trying to play innocent and are toying with the police officer.
The next frame sees Alia changing her avatar from a mellow girl to a badass character. The scene shifts to the police station where Alia is heard saying that they killed someone in their “dreams” and not in reality.

The teaser itself looks super entertaining and we are very excited to see Alia play a dark character. The teaser gives a hint that the audience is in for a ride that too in a dark tunnel and where they will have no idea what is going to happen next.

The film releases on Netflix on August 5, 2022.
