Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has officially tied the knot with his longtime partner and model Georgina Rodriguez in a civil ceremony on August 11, 2026, in Portugal. It was a private ceremony attended by their five children. Sharing the good news, he took to his Instagram and shared a picture of both of their hands with wedding bands and a loving caption. The duo announced their wedding one year after their engagement picture went viral on Instagram on August 11, 2025. She shared a picture of her hand over her husband’s and gave a glimpse of the giant oval-shaped diamond engagement ring, which had us all gagging. For the unversed, the duo have five children: Eva Maria and Mateo, 9, Alana, 8, daughter Bella, 4, and 16-year-old son Cristiano Jr., whom Ronaldo had from his previous marriage. He and Georgina had also unfortunately announced the demise of Bella’s newborn twin brother, Angel, in April 2022.

The footballer first met Rodríguez when she was a sales assistant at a Gucci store in 2017. The two later made their red carpet debut at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich. By May, they made their relationship Instagram official after Ronaldo shared a picture of them both. In her 2022 Netflix documentary, I Am Georgina, Ronaldo spoke about the early days of their relationship and stated that she was a “very interesting girl” and was very “mature” for her age, but also made it clear that he didn’t expect their romance to last. He confessed that though he didn’t expect much, he didn’t know he would fall deeply in love with her and later felt that she would become the woman in his life.
